As an avid cricket fanatic and a great fan of MS Dhoni, one of the modern-day cricket greats, I have always been fascinated by the captain’s witty decisions on the field. One of the frequent statements used by the captain in post-match conferences is,

“I have always believed that process is more important than results.”

This statement holds true not just in the field of cricket, but in every aspect of life.

We often get caught up in the desire for instant results, but the truth is, We must understand that success is a journey and not a destination. Sometimes, even after working out for continuous ten days and following a diet, we do not see any results. This can be frustrating and demotivating. However, if we are confident that we are on the right path and consistent with our routine, we will make it one day. The key is to trust the process.

This applies to other areas of life, such as education and career development as well. For example, After solving one Leetcode problem every day for 3 months continuously, and not cracking the interview, will be disheartening. But if we trust the process and continue to practice consistently, one day we will achieve our goal.

In the words of MS Dhoni, “The key is to stay consistent and trust the process.” Consistency is the key to success. It is easy to give up when the results are not immediate, but if we trust the process and continue to work toward our goals, we will eventually reach our destination.

Achieving a goal can change our lives for a moment, but true change happens when we focus on the process behind it. James Clear, author of Atomic Habits, states,

“You don’t need to clean the room, you need cleaning habits.

You don’t need to lose weight, you need better eating habits.

You don’t need more money, you only need better financial habits.”

This statement highlights the importance of developing good habits in order to achieve our goals. It is easy to get caught up in the desire for instant results, but actual change happens when we focus on the process that leads to those results.

The Indian Epic, Bhagavad Gita states,

“You are only entitled to the action, never to its fruits.”

This quote reminds us that the true purpose of our actions is the process of doing them, not the end result. By focusing on the process, we are able to enjoy the journey and find fulfillment in the actions themselves.

In conclusion, trust the process and stay consistent with your routine. As I said before, Success is a journey, and it takes time, patience, and perseverance to reach our destination. Always remember, one day, you will make it. You will make it !! I say You will make it !!
